Significance… we all want it! We all seek it in different ways money, power, sex, legacy, tragedy. So many of the people I’ve encountered over the past 5 years simply want to be important to someone. The fatherless epidemic is just that. With no one telling you you’re special, you get that validation elsewhere. The first verse is that young man looking for it in the streets. The second is that young woman who had hers violated and continues to find it through giving herself away. We all need that strong voice that whispers in our ear how proud He is of us and why. We all need definition. Whoever can give it to us, we’ll give our everything to. The chance to do a rock song was a dream come true and there’s a lot more where that came from!
Our neighborhoods are filled with lost children, but the Son said let the little children come. I believe, because he had something to say that they all needed to hear. It’s our job to see that need and full it. Explain to them where their uniqueness begins… with the Father and how it grows into beautiful story. Let the live music play!
